This programme aims to prepare students into innovative professionals of economic statistics with solid foundation of mathematical statistics and actuarial ability. The theoretical foundations of this major are mathematics and probability theory, including mathematical statistics and statistical survey while the application part consists of statistics in social economy, finance and management.

Students will learn to use statistical software for data analysis and participate in the development, application and management of statistical data. They will also learn practical applications of statistical surveys, statistical information management, quantitative analysis, actuarial and risk management in large enterprises, public institutions and the economy in general.

Eligible graduates will be conferred with Graduation Certificate and Bachelor’s Degree of Economics from Jinan University, and Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics with Statistics).
